Cedar Street Studio

Functional Ceramics
Artist Name(s):
Craig Bachman
I have been working with ceramics for over 30 years. Following graduation from San Diego State University in 1990, I've traveled, taught and worked extensively with various well known ceramic artists in the United States and abroad. After Moving to Massachusetts in 1998 and taking a whole year to convert an old barn into a working studio Cedar Street Studio was established in 1998. In 2008 the studio was moved to a post and beam structure in Hopkinton Massachusetts. I create my designs for comfort in the hand and ease of use. The work is immediately accessible through their beautiful colors and clean crisp forms. The clay is white stoneware, and the work is fired to cone 6. All pieces are handmade in my studio and the glazes are non-toxic, lead free and dishwasher safe. My work is designed to be used everyday and to add visual beauty and enjoyment into everyday life. My work can be seen at galleries all around the United States and a few local craft shows.
